Biography
Dr Katerina Themistokleous-Tzortzi studied at the Dental School of King's College London, University of London, and graduated in 2000.
She then spent two years as an academic associate, first at the University of Manchester Dental School (2000–01) and subsequently at the University of Leeds Dental School in the United Kingdom (2001–02).
She went on to work for three years (2002–05) in paediatric dental clinics in Manchester. She then worked as a dental surgeon in private practice for a further three years (2005–08).
After qualifying, and alongside her clinical work, Katerina completed three (3) postgraduate training programmes lasting three (3) years in total. Specifically, she attended:
from 07/08/2000 to 31/07/2001, a postgraduate training programme at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester,
from 01/08/2001 to 28/07/2002, a similar postgraduate training programme at the Leeds Dental Institute (University Dental Hospital) and
from 15/10/2004 to 18/10/2005, a postgraduate training programme in Dental Surgery.
In 2004 she completed a one-year postgraduate course in restorative dentistry, with an emphasis on implants, at the renowned school of Prof. Paul Tipton, one of the leading private dental training academies in the United Kingdom.
Dr Tipton is an internationally recognised prosthodontist, the founder of Tipton Training Ltd, one of the UK's leading private dental training academies, and the author of more than 100 scientific articles on dentistry. He was voted by his peers one of the “most influential dentists in the UK” in Dentistry Magazine in 2013, and one of the top 3 dentists in Aesthetic Dentistry in a poll in November 2012. He was a founding member and board member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is currently President of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry and was recently elected a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics (IADFE).
Opening her own modern dental practice was a lifelong dream, allowing her to offer high-quality dental care in a pleasant and safe environment. Her priority is always good communication with her patients and pain-free, effective treatment.
